Eosinophils are bi-lobed, multi-functional innate immune cells with diverse cell surface receptors that regulate local and inflammatory responses. Several infectious diseases triggered their build up in the blood tissues. The mobilization of eosinophils into lungs is regulated by a cascade processes guided Th2 cytokine generating T-cells. Recruitment essentially leads to characteristic response followed airway hyperresponsiveness remodeling, which hallmarks chronic respiratory diseases.
